Our diverse range of services include workplace training and career services, community volunteerism, IT training, Life Coaching, Speech Crafters courses, and supported recreation. Our clients include people from all walks of life and experience, looking to move ahead in employment, personal goals, or who just want to make connections and volunteer in their community. Our programs and services are open to people 15 years of age and older; and we offer a unique range of options for individuals who may require supported or transitional services.

Career services at Cosmos are designed to help people gain the skills, knowledge, and training to successfully compete in todays’ ever-changing labour market. We offer thirty years of experience in supporting job seekers, employers and industry leaders through our innovative and flexible training programs. Most importantly, our client’s on-going success speaks for itself.
Community Volunteerism
Our extensive volunteer services and community partnerships offer something for everyone. Volunteering is a great way for people to make a difference in their community, connect with others, and develop new skills. We take a holistic approach to identifying the skills, talents, and interests of those wishing to volunteer.
Recreation & Leisure
So much is on offer through our recreation and leisure services; including both modified and progressive sessions to meet the diverse interests and abilities of our clients. Our community-based sessions run on a 3-month basis; offering subsidized and no-cost options for individuals living with a disability, mental health needs, FASD, chronic illness, brain injury, or sensory impairment.
Life skills & IT Courses
M any of our clients benefit from participating in a range of our short courses. These sessions are a blend of client-led and facilitated learning, and are aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with mental health needs, physical disabilities, brain injuries, developmental disabilities and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
Dream Catchers Toastmasters Club
Our Dream Catchers Toastmasters Club is part of an international educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of meeting locations. Toastmasters Clubs allow people to learn the art of communication, public speaking and listening.
Cosmos Bottle Depot
S everal of our community programs and services benefit from additional funding generated by the two Bottle Depot centres Cosmos operates in Red Deer. Both our depots on Orr Drive and the North Hill support countless bottle drives for community charities and service organisations. We also have several drop box locations around the city for our customers’ convenience.
